Matt Hodkinson – Social Media Monitoring

Matt Hodkinson Influence AgentsMatt Hodkinson is Founder and Chief Listening Officer at Influence Agents – a Social Media Monitoring & Research Agency, helping clients to gauge and protect their brand reputation online.

His philosophy is “Two ears, one mouth, for the digital generation”…believing business owners can profit from Social Media by listening more intently.

Matt started his professional career as a Consultant in the IT industry, before moving into Search Engine Optimisation and Online Marketing.

Three years ago, with the emergence of Social Media Monitoring technology, Matt’s work took on a new direction, with exciting new projects in the worlds of Fashion and Action Sports. Influence Agents followed soon after.

Matt says, “Social Media has resulted in millions of consumer-led conversations. Most of it is irrelevant to the majority of business owners, but among all the noise you’ll find a number of true gems…valuable insights from your target and existing customers, about your products and services, your industry, and your competitors.”

Matt’s thought-leading views on Social Media have led to frequent appearances on BBC TV and radio, as well as a number of international speaking engagements.

When he’s not tied to a desk or under a spotlight, Matt is an avid snowboarder. He has other passions too, but above all he says “Being a Dad to two beautiful girls takes some beating!”

In this seminar:
Matt will show you how the leading-edge thinkers in Social Media are changing the way businesses engage with their prospects and customers. He promises a whole set of practical and actionable insights, to help anyone participate in the exciting world of the social web.

  1. Joe Harrell says:

Hey, Matt– Just now noticed you’re doing this presentation. Would love to be in Cardiff to see this and all the other presentations. Unfortunately, an early-Feb trip from New York to Wales isn’t the most practical idea for networking and training in 2012. :)

Will The Social Media Event presentations be available online during or after the event? It would be amazing if the recordings included the Q&A sessions, too. Have enjoyed following you on Twitter and elsewhere, and I have no doubt my colleagues at NYC-ARTS and I would learn a ton from your session, in particular–especially as we prepare for some new product roll-outs.

All the best, and thanks very much!

    Hi Joe,

I’ll look into getting this or another session recorded, and will ensure you get a copy. Failing that, I’d be happy to present a webinar to you and your colleagues in the near future. Let me know if that’s of interest.

    Thanks for your support. Matt.
