Gareth Jenkins is a Trade Mark Attorney at Wynne-Jones, Laine & James LLP – a firm of Patent and Trade Mark specialists, helping clients to identify, protect and exploit their Intellectual Property Rights.
Gareth acts for a variety of clients, from individuals to multinationals in fields such as Fashion, Cosmetics, Finance and Healthcare. He works extensively on global Trade Mark portfolios, counterfeiting issues and the assignment of Intellectual Property Rights.
Gareth originally qualified in Biomedical Science, then took a Master’s in Intellectual Property Law at Queen Mary & Westfield College, London. He joined the Trade Mark profession in 2001, and qualified as a Registered Trade Mark Attorney by examination in 2005.
He is a member of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and acts before the UK, European Community and International Trade Mark Offices.
Gareth says, “If the competition set up shop next door to you using your name or a similar name, your business would be at risk. And online, where everything is next door, that risk is amplified. So it’s vital to know your rights and the remedies available.”
In this seminar:
Gareth sets out to demystify the protection and exploitation of Intellectual Property Rights. He warns, “I’m not saying that it’s easy, or even that the law is up to date – but everyone should be fully aware of the issues involved.”
